IoT and Public Safety

PublicEye was the first comprehensive mobility platform for Public Safety. It changed the way first responders consumed information. Zco Corporation is now pioneering the next generation of innovation by introducing the Internet of Things (IoT) to Public Safety.
There are over 4 billion mobile phones in the world. It is predicted that there will be over 20 billion IoT devices by 2020. The impact of IoTs is expected to be greater than that of the mobile phone. IoT is transforming many industries in a significant way. Yet Public Safety is lagging behind. Worldwide technology spending on IoT is predicted to reach $1.2T in 2022.
PublicEye is the first mobile platform to seamlessly integrate IoTs. Please refer to our previous blog post to learn more. This is just the beginning; the possibilities of IoTs in Public Safety are unlimited. Connected smoke detectors, CBRNE detectors, surveillance cameras and drones to name a few.
Another example is an IoT device detecting medical conditions. Typically 911 calls for heart attacks outnumber calls for fires and reaching them in a timely fashion will significantly increase the number of lives saved. Imagine your smart watch detecting a heart attack and reporting your location to first responders. This is the power of IoTs.
PublicEye is combining the power of mobile phones and the power of IoTs. This is a true case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
